The JustChat budget
Every plan includes a monthly amount of JustChat usage. Long conversations and broad questions consume more of it than short ones.
JustChat runs on a language model, and that has a real per-question cost. Rather than counting messages — which would punish a short clarifying question as much as a broad analysis — your plan includes a monthly budget that is consumed by actual usage.
What consumes it
Roughly: how much data a question touches and how long the answer is.
- A short question about one market costs very little.
- A question spanning every market over a long period costs more, because more data has to be read.
- A long back-and-forth costs more than the same question asked once, because the conversation is carried along.
The usage meter in the chat shows how much of the month's budget is left.
When it runs out
Chat stops until the budget resets at the start of your next billing period. Nothing else in JustRanks is affected — the dashboard, markets, signals and exports keep working.
If you need more, boosters add to the monthly budget without changing the rest of your plan. There is a limit on how many you can add; see the billing page.
Rate limits
Separately from the budget, there is a short-term limit on how quickly questions can be asked, and how many can run at once. It exists so one person cannot make the chat slow for everyone in the organisation. In normal use you will not meet it.
Keeping usage low
Ask narrower questions. "Which market lost the most visibility last month" is cheaper and usually more useful than "tell me everything about my markets". Starting a new conversation for a new topic also helps, because an unrelated history is carried along at a cost and does not improve the answer.
