How JustRanks works, and what every metric means.
Getting started
What JustRanks tracks
JustRanks captures the whole search results page for your keywords every day — not just the row your own product sits in.
Setting up your first market
Pick a marketplace, enter one ASIN of your product, add the keywords you care about. Setup takes about two minutes.
Your first week
The first capture runs the moment you save. Movement needs a second day, and a few numbers need about a week before they mean anything.
Markets & products
What a market is
A market is one product, on one Amazon marketplace, measured against one set of keywords. It is the unit everything else is counted in.
Variants and product families
Products sold in several colours or sizes are treated as one competitor, not as one per variant — for your product and for everyone else's.
Which competitors you track
Everyone who shows up on your keywords at first, then the products that actually compete with you — selected by how visible they are, not by how often they appear.
Choosing a marketplace
Twelve Amazon marketplaces across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Each one is a separate market with its own keywords, competitors and currency.
When your markets are captured
You choose the hour of day your markets are captured. The time is read in each marketplace's local time, not in yours.
Keywords
Choosing your keywords
A market holds up to 25 keywords, and every average you read is computed across exactly those. The set is the measurement, so choose it deliberately.
Keyword tiers and weights
Four tiers decide how heavily each keyword counts in your averages. Setting them turns a flat average into one that reflects what your business actually cares about.
Adding and removing keywords
You can change the set at any time. Keywords you keep hold their full history; the ones you remove take their measurements out of every average.
Reading the data
The dashboard
Five numbers across all your markets, the list of markets underneath, and the inbox of what changed. It is the daily check, not the investigation.
The Market Recorder
The full competitive field for one market: every tracked competitor with their position, visibility, coverage, price, rating, reviews, rank and badges.
The keyword heatmap
One row per keyword, one column per day. Green is a strong position, red a weak one — so a losing keyword shows up as a colour change before you look at any number.
Comparing markets and products
Two ways to compare: markets against each other, and one product against another inside a market.
The Sponsored tab
The Sponsored tab in the listing drilldown breaks one listing's ad presence down by slot group, keyword and day — the same question as Sponsored Scope, narrowed to a single product.
Signals & Inbox
What signals are
Automatic notices about what changed in your markets, so you do not have to find it by reading charts every morning.
What gets detected
Ranking movement, competitors entering or leaving, badges, promotions, listing changes, rating and stock shifts — anything a competitor could do that changes your position.
Using the inbox
One feed across all your markets, filtered to what matters by default, with read state so you only see what you have not looked at.
JustChat
What JustChat can do
Ask questions about your own market data in plain language. JustChat writes the query, runs it against your data and answers from the result.
The JustChat budget
Every plan includes a monthly amount of JustChat usage. Long conversations and broad questions consume more of it than short ones.
Free tool & Quick Shots
What a Quick Shot is
A one-off capture of any market, without setting up tracking. One ASIN, up to 25 keywords, a complete picture in a few minutes.
Quick Shot credits
One credit is one Quick Shot. Every plan includes a monthly allowance, and more can be bought when you need them.
The free version
One market, up to 25 keywords, captured whenever you ask for it. The real product, not a demo — with tracking that you trigger instead of tracking that runs itself.
Billing & plans
Plans and what they include
Plans differ in four things: how many markets you can track, how many people can use the account, how much JustChat you get, and how many Quick Shot credits.
Add-ons
Extra markets and extra JustChat budget can be added to any plan, so you do not have to jump a whole tier for a little more capacity.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel at any time from the billing page. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
