Reading the data

One product in depth

Click any product to open its drilldown: its numbers over the period, its position on every keyword capture by capture, its trends and its signals.

The drilldown opens over the results when you click a product's image or title. It works for any product in the view, yours or a competitor's, and you can page through the list without closing it.

The header

The product as the latest capture showed it: title and ASIN with a link to Amazon, the price with the list price if it was reduced, rating and reviews, "bought in past month" and badges. Below, its numbers over the period: average position, visibility, JustRanks Score, coverage, Top 10 and volatility, each with its change against the previous period.

The tabs

  • Performance: one row per keyword, one column per capture, coloured by position. See The keyword heatmap.
  • Trends: the product's numbers as charts over time, in three groups: ranking (position, visibility, JustRanks Score, coverage, Top 10, volatility), demand ("bought in past month", reviews, rating) and price (price and list price).
  • Variants: shown when Amazon put more than one variant of the product on page 1. A bar shows each variant's share of all placements; below it, for each keyword, how often each variant was on page 1 as a share of that keyword's captures, next to the same figure for the whole family and the average number of its listings on the page. Amazon often lists several variants of one product on the same page, so several can reach 100%. Only variants that ranked at least once in the period are listed.
  • Signals: the signals for this product: Buy Box, price, deals and coupons, delivery time, ratings and listing changes, and rankings if it is yours. The number on the tab shows how many there are. See What signals are.
  • Notes: notes on this product, shared with your team and shown wherever the product appears.

Reading a competitor

The drilldown is most useful on the products that are not yours. A rival's trend chart often answers "what changed?" faster than your own: a price drop two weeks ago, a jump in reviews, a climb that began on one keyword and spread to the rest.
