Connect AI agents with MCP
Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini or your own agent to JustRanks with the MCP server, and ask about Amazon search results, competitors and your markets in plain language.
The JustRanks MCP server lets AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude use JustRanks data directly. Ask "Who climbed on dog crate this week?" or "Which keywords does B0… rank for?" and the assistant fetches the answer from JustRanks. It uses the same API key, the same data and the same limits as the API.
Connect ChatGPT or Claude with your JustRanks login
Both connect with your JustRanks account: no key, no setup files. The server address is https://www.justranks.com/api/mcp.
- Claude: open Customize → Connectors, click "Add custom connector", paste the address and click Add. Works on all Claude plans (Free: one custom connector). On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors.
- ChatGPT: in your browser, open chatgpt.com/plugins (custom servers can't be added in the desktop or phone app), click + and choose "Add custom MCP server". Name it JustRanks, paste the address under Connection and choose OAuth as authentication. Tick "I understand and want to continue", click "Create as a plugin", then install the plugin and sign in to JustRanks. To use it, type @ in a new chat and pick JustRanks. Custom MCP servers need ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu; in Business, only admins and owners can add them. On Pro, only the reading tools work (no creating or changing markets). Plus and Free don't support custom MCP servers yet.
- Vibe by Mistral (formerly Le Chat): open Connectors, click "+ Add Connector", choose Custom MCP Connector, name it
justranksand paste the address. Only admins can add connectors; on Free and Pro, that is you.
The assistant opens a JustRanks page where you sign in and allow access. You can disconnect an assistant any time under API & MCP → Connect AI → Connected apps in the app.
Connect coding tools and automations with an API key
Create an API key under API & MCP → API keys in the app and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http justranks https://www.justranks.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer jr_live_…"
Add --scope user to use it in every project.
Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json, or .cursor/mcp.json in your project), then turn the server on under Customize:
{
"mcpServers": {
"justranks": {
"url": "https://www.justranks.com/api/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer jr_live_…" }
}
}
}
VS Code with GitHub Copilot (.vscode/mcp.json): the same entry under "servers" with "type": "http". Start it with MCP: List Servers → Start. On Copilot Business and Enterprise, an admin enables MCP servers first.
Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf, ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json): the same entry as for Cursor, then turn the server on in the MCPs panel.
Gemini CLI (~/.gemini/settings.json): the same entry with "httpUrl" instead of "url".
Antigravity CLI (~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json): the same entry with "serverUrl" instead of "url".
n8n: add an "MCP Client Tool" node to your AI Agent, use the address above as the Endpoint with Server Transport HTTP Streamable, and choose Bearer Auth with your key as the Bearer Token.
Any other MCP client that supports remote servers over HTTP works the same way.
What the assistant can do
| Tool | Answers |
|---|---|
search_keywords | Which keywords exist for a phrase, and how much demand they have. |
get_serp | Who is on page 1 for a keyword on a given day. |
who_moved | Which products climbed or dropped on some keywords in the last days. |
analyze_keywords | Who dominates a set of keywords, optionally compared with the period before. |
keyword_history | How positions on a keyword changed over a period. |
product_keywords | Which keywords a product ranks for. |
product_drilldown | How one product performed over time, keyword by keyword. |
product_family | Which variants count as one product. |
product_page_history | How price, Buy Box, sales rank and listing of your products and key competitors changed. |
related_keywords | Keywords related to a keyword, to expand a market. |
add_keywords | Add keywords that are not in the database yet. Results usually appear within the hour. |
paused_keywords, review_paused_keywords | Keywords you added that look unrelated and wait for you: track them anyway or remove them. |
my_markets, market_overview | Your markets and how they stand. |
market_signals | What happened in your markets. |
create_market, update_market | Create a market or add and remove keywords. |
get_usage | Your usage today and your limits. |
Answers are kept short for the assistant: a summary and the top results. Ask for more ("show the top 30") when you need it.
Limits
The assistant uses your API allowance: keywords in your markets are unlimited, other keywords and ASIN searches count against the daily allowance (see Getting started with the API). When a limit is reached, the assistant gets the same message as the API and can tell you.
